Chris has over 14 years of professional experience in corporate social responsibility focused on Aboriginal and public consultation, social impact assessment, traditional knowledge and permitting and negotiation related to resource development infrastructure projects. He is skilled in using applied knowledge and management tools to solve complex issues related to the human, biophysical and physical environments. His assignments have emphasized the development and implementation of processes which foster socially responsible development, with a particular focus on projects affecting Canadian Aboriginal communities.

Chris completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Calgary (1997), and a Master of Science in Social Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (1999). He will undertake research focused on optimising the socio-economic effects of large-scale natural resource extraction projects on Aboriginal communities in the Doctor of Social Sciences program at Royal Roads University.
