Bio (Susie Myers)
Susie received a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Management from Royal Roads University in 2014. As part of her master’s research, Susie researched early childhood education nature opportunities. Susie is pursuing a Doctor of Social Sciences to extend her area of study. Her doctoral level study will incorporate real world findings that change and impact children’s lives, create brain pathways, develop empathy and foster resiliency in children. Over the last 20 years, Susie has shared her passion through various roles as college instructor, Aboriginal infant and supported child development consultant, infant mental health clinician and advocate for children and families. She currently is an administrator of early learning and childcare programs.
Susie lives in the beautiful West Kootenays with her husband Dave and two children. In her spare time she likes to read, enjoy walks and travel with her favorite young people, Ryan and Kaden.
