Bio (Weir Milne)
I have been happily married for 34 years and have 2 lovely children, (one of whom is actually employed and no longer lives at home). I love learning, intelligent debate, science fiction, and pasta. My political leanings lie somewhere between Attila the Hun and Karl Marx.
Although I try not to take life too seriously, I abhor violence in all its forms. Consequently, I have dedicated my life to assisting those in conflict. As someone who has tried to marry theory to practical application in my professional life, I was intrigued by RRU’s goal of training “scholar practitioners” who can provide practical intellectual leadership to help build sustainable organizations. More particularly, I believe the program will help me augment the research and evaluative skills necessary to undertake a meaningful analysis of Ontario’s mandatory mediation program. For my part, I bring a foundational passion for justice, a love of peace, boundless energy, goodwill and humour.
